The nclamp video camera mount can be used to clamp video and large-format cameras weighing as much as 3 lbs. (1.4 kg).

The nclamp video camera mount's versatile ball-and-socket head, manufactured by RAM Mounts, is more than capable of locking and maintaining position of a heavy video camera.

The Pony clamp itself is capable of maintaining hold of a 3 lb. payload, particularly when clamped on surfaces, poles and objects with a thickness or diameter of 1"-2" (2.5 to 5 cm). Narrow poles of under 1" diameter (2.5 cm) or vertical surfaces of under 1" (2.5 cm) are less capable of achieving the necessary friction for the clamp to hold firm, managing a load of up to 1 lb. (.5 kg).

The 1/4"-20 screw on the wide base supports all video cameras, video cameras and optical devices capable of accepting a standard tripod screw.

The ball-and-socket head, manufactured by RAM Mounting Systems, includes two anodized aluminum balls and a composite coupler. The coupler has a large handle which can be loosened for positioning your camera, and tightened with a single hand. This head assembly is tough as nails, easily capable of supporting the weight of your equipment.

The nclamp video camera mount's PONY spring clamp is constructed of a nickel-plated steel. Its jaws are capable of opening up to 2" (5.1 cm) wide and tightly clamping down to any surface. The PONY's trademark orange tips protect and grip the surfaces that it is clamped on to, and the orange handles make the clamp easier to squeeze open with a single hand. Competitive products offer off-market clamps made of imported steel — cheaply constructed imitations of the classic PONY clamp used in our nclamp products.
